The Financing Peace Project aims to
promote stability in war-torn regions of the world by revitalizing local
economies with micro-loans to small businesses. We strive to act as brokers
between the thousands of ready investors in the United States and those in need
of short term capital to regenerate their economies and expand their business
in the developing world.
How It Works
Financing Peace works through the organization, kiva.org to help fund loan requests by entrepreneurs around the world. Using a credit card or paypal account, users can contribute towards a specific entrepreneurs loan. Once the loan is funded, kiva transfers the money to the field partner, which disperses the money to the intended entrepreneur. The entrepreneur is then responsible for repaying the loan in monthly installments until the end of the loan term. Once the loan has been completely repaid, the money is transfered into the user's account, which can then be recycled and invested in other loans.
